Survey on the thematic paper on European civil security research

In May 2024, the BMBF published a discussion paper on the EU's 10th Research Framework Program. By the end of 2024, this paper is to be supplemented by a subject-specific thematic paper on European civil security research.

In Horizon Europe, security research is located in Cluster 3 "Civil Security for Society" in the 2nd pillar. In addition to "Cybersecurity", Cluster 3 includes the focus areas "Fighting Crime and Terrorism", "Disaster Resilient Societies", "Border Management", "Critical Infrastructure Protection" and "Strengthening Security Research and Innovation".

The BMBF's Security Research Division and the National Contact Point for Security Research have launched a survey and are inviting interested parties to contribute their priorities and perspectives with regard to the 10th EU Research Framework Program to this thematic paper on the basis of key questions.
