Strengthening cyber security research

The European Union has decided to establish a European Cybersecurity Competence Centre and a network of National Cyber Security Coordination Centres. These centres are to strengthen the promotion of research and development in cyber security in a bundled manner.

Connect4Cyber – Brokerage and Info Day 27.08.2025 in Helsinki

Connect4Cyber – Brokerage and Info Day brings together cybersecurity actors from Finland and across Europe to discuss current calls under the Digital Europe (DEP) and Horizon Europe programmes, share project ideas, and build international consortia. The event focuses on calls targeted at the health sector, PQC (Post-Quantum Cryptography) themes, and funding opportunities for SMEs.

Horizon Europe 2025: €90.55 Million for Research and Innovation in Cybersecurity

The European Cybersecurity Competence Centre (ECCC) is launching the "Increased Cybersecurity" call for 2025 as part of the EU’s Horizon Europe research and innovation funding programme (Cluster 3: Civil Security for Society). With total funding of €90.55 million, the EU is setting clear priorities for research and innovation in the fields of cybersecurity, generative AI, and post-quantum cryptography.
