Extension of the cybersecurity application deadline for the EU funding programme ‘Digital Europe’
The European Cybersecurity Competence Centre (ECCC) has informed the National Coordination Centres that the deadline for submitting applications for cybersecurity projects under the EU's Digital Europe funding programme has been extended to 31 March 2025. This concerns all topics in the call DIGITAL-ECCC-2024-DEPLOY-CYBER-07. This decision was taken to give more organisations and projects the opportunity to benefit from the funding and develop innovative solutions to challenges in the EU.
The original deadline was set for 21 January 2025, but since the number of applications for some topics is currently lower than expected, the ECCC, together with the European Commission's Directorate-General for Communication, Content and Technology (DG CNECT), has decided to extend the period. This is to ensure that all interested parties have sufficient time to prepare and submit their applications and to increase participation.
Six funding topics are currently being advertised to strengthen cybersecurity in Europe:
- ‘Development and Deployment of Advanced Key Technologies’
- ‘Preparedness Support and Mutual Assistance, Targeting Larger Industrial Operations and Installations’
- ‘Enlarging existing or Launching New Cross-Border SOC Platforms’
- ‘National SOCs’
- ‘Support for Implementation of EU Legislation on Cybersecurity and National Cybersecurity Strategies (2024)’
- ‘Strengthening the SOC Ecosystem’
We hereby encourage all interested applicants to take a look at the calls for proposals. If you decide to submit an application, the NCC-DE team will be happy to provide you with further information about the requirements and the application process. Of course, our offer also applies to those who have already prepared their applications and would like to optimise them further.
